The band is currently on tour for its 50th anniversary.

Air Supply, the iconic ’80s Australian soft rock band known for its emotional power ballads, is celebrating its 50th anniversary by going on tour. Original members Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell are still going strong as the “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” band delights Gen Xers—and finds an entirely new audience—with its current tour.

While most rockers might slow down in their 70s, both Hitchcock (76) and Russell (75) look and sound like they’re just getting started.

In recent videos shared to social media from the band’s 50th anniversary tour, Hitchcock can be seen belting out the band’s most memorable power ballads, much to the delight of fans—many of whom have turned Air Supply’s recent shows into giant singalongs led by Hitchcock’s ageless voice.

Fans are thrilled to take a walk down memory lane, lauding the Air Supply singer’s “absolutely beautiful” and “still amazing” voice.

In addition to celebrating the band’s feel-good sound, ’80s fans are loving the chance to relive what they’ve called “the very best of times.”

Air Supply’s Origins and Upcoming World Tour

Air Supply got its start in 1975 when Hitchcock and Russell met in an Australian touring company of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. The band is now embarking on a world tour with dates in the U.S., Canada, Singapore, and Chile.
